Made from just two simple ingredients, this ruby-toned syrup can quickly become a pantry staple. Mix into beverages like iced tea or a glass of milk, use for cocktails and drizzle on desserts for a dose of fresh strawberry flavor!
In a microwave safe glass container, add the whole hulled strawberries and top with sugar. Wrap very tightly with plastic wrap and microwave on high for three minutes. Remove, stir and recover with plastic wrap before returning to the microwave for three minutes. Repeat this process another three-five times, until the liquid is bright red and all of the sugar has fully dissolved. Strain out the strawberries and refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
