Ingredients:

zest of 4 oranges

½ cup sugar

1 cup water

4 cups milk

In a saucepan on medium heat, combine sugar, zest and water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10, minutes before removing cover and letting simmer for another 5-10 until water is reduced by one third. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. In a blender, combine strained syrup, food coloring (optional) and milk and blend well. Chill well before serving.
